These are my absolute favorite ankle boots this season. These are all under 200 and Top Shop is the place to go
Good bye Summer and hello Fall!! This also means time to go through our yoga and soul cycle gear to see what needs to be tossed. Leggings are so much more than what you wear to yoga class or Fit on, they are being seen from Whole Foods, to the dry cleaners, to lunch with the girl friends. This is why replacing them each season is a must. My obsession this season are two very consistent and reliable brands.
1. Alo yoga
2. Outdoor Voices
Happy cycling into the Fall!!
Nantucket or ACK is one of those places where everything feels special and right in the world. Having spent many summers there after meeting my husband in 2001 I have several places that I am obsessed - Sconset being my number one obsession right now and here is why.
1. Sconset is the quiet part of the island that holds more charm than and quaintness it makes you feel like you have gone back in time
The Sconset market or "black" market as many call it is very over priced but the homemade muffins and ice cream make it so worth it!
Claudette's may make the very best sandwich I have ever had. It is located right next to the Market and for $11 you can get a meatloaf sandwich with their special sauce that is just mouth watering
The Summer House is my favorite restaurant on island. It has the most amazing martini's and piano bar that is just makes you want to drink and sing the night away.
Please please come visite this special place because I promise it will not disappoint
It is the time of year where your fly wheel tab can compete with your bar tab. It is when you and your friends are comparing which cleanse will definitely make the difference this year. I say with complete confidence that all women, no matter their size, feel a bit exposed when 4th of July rolls around. I however, have found an amazing swim line I am obsessed with, not only because it rocks a contemporary vision on the 50's but also because it seems to have something for everyone.
Easter, A Marathon, and Spring Baseball......
This weekend Boston is filled with Spring flowers, an iconic marathon, Spring baseball and Easter celebrations. It is a great time to be in Boston, where there is lots to do and fun for everyone. The Boston Marathin takes place on Monday April 18, 2017, the runners start in Hopkinton and make their way to Boston to Finish. There are a lot of events leading up to Monday, check out the link below to find all of the fun happenings!
Dior split aviators are my favorite!! I love them - they are oversized and put a twist on a classic that there is no way you won't become obsessed.
We are growing our Zen collection by adding a Zen Trucker hat and a Zen Pom-Pom Beanie to our loved Buddha bag!
We are headed out West to ski this weekend and I wanted to share a few pieces on my wish list.

Holiday Cheer 🎄🍭
Christmas is such a jolly time of year and I ❤️to bring that festive joy in my holiday wardrobe. This year I became obsessed with these fun sunzel leggings. The best part is that they are $12.99 on amazon prime. They also have 10 other holiday styles if candy canes don't spark your inner fa la la
Golden goose has been a long time favorite - but seeing these awesome furry high tops they have taken it up a notch. These may be bold and very colorful but they are so so fun. The only change I would possible make is changing them to black and grey but regardless these top my favorite sneaks this season
First stop is Copley Square Farmer's Market in Boston's Back Back every Tuesday and Friday.
They offer just about everything- fish, honey, dairy, bread, veggies and fruits, and so much more. Today I picked up some great fresh tomatoes, red leaf lettus, jalapeños, apples, etc.... from Atlas Farms, Sienna Farms, Stillman Farms, and Red's Best Seafood. We made something tonight with our goodies that included - Kale sautéed in coconut oil, shallots, jalapeño, garlic, tomatoes and black beans. Yummy😀👌
So when you are in Boston on a Tuesday or Friday check out the Copley Square Farmer's Market.
Next time we are posting our favorite markets in LA and NYC!

Fall is around the corner and there is nothing better to fix your fear of your summer tan fading than shopping for your Fall favorites. Bomber jackets are huge right now and in abundance so here are a few of our favorite ones !!!
1 Zara, Zara, and more Zare. There are so many too choose from that deciding on one will be almost impossible.
2. Scotch and soda is such a great brand for everyone in the family - we are obsessed!!
3. The metallic bomber splurge that we would love to own.
Enjoy all your Fall finds
Having only really knowing Tahoe as an awesome ski resort I was not sure what to expect visiting in mid August. We packed everyone up and headed north from LA for an 8 hour surprisingly beautiful and peaceful drive along the 395. Upon arrival I was still a bit shy on what to expect - however the beer festival that was in full swing in sqaw village as we made our way to our condo made me very optimistic.
We spent a full 6 nights in sqaw village and had an amazing time full of outdoor adventure and good food. Here is a list of my favorite spots!!!
Sqaw Valley High Camp and Pool!!
Paddle boarding at Kings Beach!
Best After lake Burger / shake / hot dog
Amazing - so worth the calories and best soft serve chocolate and vanilla cone I have had in years!!
Best casual dinner on the Lake
Tahoe was amazing and I can't wait to go back next year!!
We have been visiting MV for about 10 years now thanks to Meredith's in-laws, and have found so much that we like on the island that it's hard to narrow it down to the BEST. So here are a few of our favorites......which are always changing.
Getting there- Easy drive from Boston to Woods Hole. Once there you jump on a ferry, relax and have a beer or glass of wine!
New York can be a bit more difficult, but there are a ton of flights and a long ferry ride right out the city with a Friday afternoon departure from NYC and a Sunday evening arrival back into the city.
Fav Beaches- Menemsha beach, love the location- Beautiful! South Beach(Katama)- big waves and soft sand. State Beach- for the kids, no waves and jumping off of Jaws bridge!
Activity- we just tried LED paddle boarding! Check out Island Spirit Kayak.
Lobster Roll- Grace Church, not kidding love! Only sell on Friday nights from 4-7pm. Yum!
Drinks- Besides post beach cocktails in your own back yard, which are the best and most relaxing! We have become recently aware of Beetlebung in Oak Bluffs, craft cocktails and amazing bartenders! Later in the evening the Port Hunter in Edgartown is where you go for a few more drinks and great bands, the food is great so hit it up for Dinnner before the band comes on.
Breakfast- Right Fork Diner. Perfect for the kids to play while you wait for a table on the Katama air field.
Dinner- Right now.... We have always loved Home Portin Menemsh- Fresh and delicious, you basically are on the dock. You will need to bring your own bottle of wine if you would like a glass with dinner. We recently tried and are fans of Beach Road (in Vineyard Haven), the sister restaurant to the beloved State Road.
These are just a few of our fav's. There is so much more......... Lots of shopping next time!
Have a great weekend!
Martha + Meredith
Exploring our new home has been one of the delights of moving to LA! We were the people headed straight to Nantucket and Vineyard without a thought of exploring other destinations. This week we are skipped camp, work, and any other responsibilities and headed to Surf and Sand resort in Laguna Beach. I had heard so many amazing things about the area and resort that my expectations and NYC skepticism were a bit high.
Having spent very little time in southern Cali - I was so impressed with the area - the shops, the cute restaurants, the weather, and of course beach. I get what the hype is all about - it was beautiful. The resort was perfect for my little ones while upscale enough for me to enjoy. The rooms all have views of the ocean- which made having breakfast in your room so very delightful. The pool was also amazing and basically on the beach which provided me spectacular views and the kids pool games and floaties.
I could not have enjoyed my trip more and can not wait for our next adventure.
Abbott Kinney in Venice anyone?
Sweat it out!
While browsing through my daily dose of Well and Good I came across this place called the Shape House. I was very excited about this sweat lodge inspired spa like place located around Los Angeles. I immediately searched for the nearest location and booked my appointment for two days later in Santa Monica.
I was a bit unsure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with relaxed vibe of this place - absent of anything over the top and more focused on a holistic experience. I have 3 more times since and while it may not be a magic solution it does make you feel like you are ridding your body of those toxins that our bad habits tend to leave behind. So I absolutely recommend if you are in the LA are to treat your body to the Shape House experience
We have seeing red nose's everywhere and although we knew it was a charity to help children in need, we knew little else. To find out more we check out Feeding America's website, one of the charities that benefits from Red Nose Day. What we found is that Red Nose day is about adding humor, fun, and entertainment to helping children in need and fighting child hunger. We also found out that only $5 can pay for Antibiotics to treat a child with pneumonia, and only a $1 pays for a meal for a child living in a homeless shelter. Red Nose Day reminds us that there is so much more we can do and that we can have fun doing it! Well we are definitely ready to get our red noses on and donate tomorrow night, we hope you are too!! Check out some of the details we found on Feeding America's website below. Remember Red Nose Day here in the US is tomorrow!!
NBC will televise the two-hour star-studded broadcast live on Thursday, May 26 (9-11 p.m. ET) featuring stand-up comedy, parodies, sketch comedy, musical performances from popular artists. Red Nose Day encourages viewers and participants to “Have fun, raise money and change lives." http://rednoseday.org/
In addition to Feeding America, the pre-selected charity partners are Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity: water; Children’s Health Fund; Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance; Covenant House; the Global Fund; National Council of La Raza; National Urban League; Oxfam America; and Save the Children.
I love my Sunnies - I might have nearly 2 dozen. The latest and greatest that I just added were the classic but bold red.
Enjoy your summer getaways with your fire red shades xoxo
Last week in the New York Times, Sandra Aamodt wrote an article that says instead of dieting... "I recommend mindful eating — paying attention to signals of hunger and fullness, without judgment, to relearn how to eat only as much as the brain’s weight-regulation system commands."
We are very interested in being mindful in every aspect of our lives, so why not include that mentality to our eating habits. Worth a shot!
